Ugandan crafts helping children from an orphanage there

Dear Friends and Followers

Some of you know that I’ve been collaborating with Malayaka House – an orphanage in Uganda for a few months, working there as a volunteer for a few months and later co-organising a charity event for them here in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. One of the cool things we did at the event was a stand with Ugandan handcrafts, brought to us by Bea, the wonderful woman who left her life in Madrid and is now in charge of the orphanage, looking after over 40 children.

Even though the stand raised a big interest and many things were sold, some of them were left and we keep them here in Gran Canaria. So if you’re interested in buying some African handcrafts and at the same time helping an orphanage, send me a message at grancanaria.style@yahoo.es.  All profits go to Malayaka House and help the children there. If you’re interested in volunteering in a place like that, let me know or get directly in touch with the NGO by clicking the link.
