What’s in a dress…
In this little body there are some remarkable ideas and a promising talent budding. Silvia Montesdeoca is a self-learned seamstress and fashion designer. Involved in fair trade and environmental care, she grounded WHAT’S IN A DRESS – a sustainable fashion brand. She designs and makes all the garments by herself here in Gran Canaria, using certified organic fabrics, mainly cotton. Moreover, each garment is made custom-size, which meas that if you want to buy any of the pieces which are on offer in Silvia’s online shop, you first need to use a special measurements guide available on the website and she will make the garment especially for you changing any detail you wish, so as to make it unique and more personal.
The photos were taken during the Gran Canaria Fashion and Friends by Gran Canaria Moda Cálida event 8-10.11.2013. You can see here Silvia with a few of her designs exhibitet. Obviously, she designed and made the dress she is wearing, as well as the one that I am presenting.

Gran Canaria Moda Cálida Fashion&Friends
Some fresh photos from the Gran Canaria Moda Cálida Fashion&Friends event which is taking place this weekend in Gran Canaria. If you are on the island and have not yet been there, you must go! There are a few dozen stands of local designers and shops which offer some real statement pieces. You can buy stuff on spot or ask for the address and go when you have more time or money or just a better hairday.
Even if you are NOT INTERESTED IN FASHION, but DECO, or like to try delicious, homemade CAKES and GOURMET FOOD, you will definitely find something for yourself too.
My wedding :)
This time I prepared a special treat and decided to share with you some photos from my wedding. We got married in the registry office in Santa Brígida, a lovely village in the mountainous interior of Gran Canaria, about 25 minutes drive from Las Palmas. It is full of typical Canarian buildings with their splendid balconies and there are flowers everywhere. In good weather you get awe-inspiring views from a little square in front of the church. However, when we were getting married, it was cloudy and even raining, but lore has it that rain during the wedding brings affluence to the young couple. So maybe the photos are not too sunny but at least we are going to be rich, ha ha!
Should I make a post about the restaurant where we had lunch after the wedding? And about the delicious food we had there? It is up to you, I am waiting for you responses!
Vosotr@as decidéis, espero vuestras respuestas!

Post-surf looks
Kristin, Alex and Cristopher are all Austrian students enjoying the waves in Las Palmas today. Watersports are fantastic because they make you feel good and… look cool. And I don’t mean only clothes – go to the beach and watch surfers’ bodies…
This car is not theirs but if it was, it would be an ultimately cool surf look, wouldn’t it?
